At Saluda Baptist Church, we are dedicated to spreading the love and teachings of Jesus Christ to our community and beyond. Through our various ministries and programs, we strive to make a positive impact on the world around us.
“The LORD is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life — of whom shall I be afraid?" Psalm 27: 1 (NIV)

Clark's Neck Meeting House was duly constituted as a Baptist Church in 1842, exchanging its Meeting House property for the present church site in 1878. Sixty years later, Clark's Neck became
Saluda Baptist Church in 1938.
Our current sanctuary was completed and dedicated in 1968 and expanded to include a new fellowship hall in 2001.

One of my favorite scriptures that God has given me as a watchword comes from
1 Corinthians 2: 4-5:
"My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words,
but with a demonstration of the
Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom,
but on God's power."

Rev. Nita May joined Saluda Baptist Church in October 2022. She and her husband Wayne served as ISC missionaries in Eastern Europe. Pastor Nita also served in other missions in Africa and throughout the Americas. She is a graduate of the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, and has been a congregational pastor for over 20 years.

Tammy Healy joined our family in
June 2025. She approaches her work day as a spiritual calling rather than a job, with detailed organization and joyful dedication. Her heart for the Lord is apparent in her faithful support to the pastor and church members.
